This policy explains what data the GeoLocus mobile app and its backend service collect, why, and how it's used. GeoLocus is a fleet GPS tracking app: it displays the location of GPS tracking hardware installed in vehicles under your account, not the location of your phone.
Account data. Email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) to authenticate you. If your administrator adds a Telegram chat ID to your user profile, it's used only to deliver alert notifications via Telegram.
Vehicle/fleet data. GPS position, speed, heading and timestamp reported by the tracking hardware installed in your organization's vehicles, plus any geofences, alerts and maintenance records your organization configures. This is fleet/asset data tied to your account, not to your personal device.
Push notification token. If you enable notifications, your device registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so the server can deliver alerts (geofence entry/exit, speeding, idling, maintenance due) to your phone. We do not use this token for anything besides delivering the notifications you've enabled.
Local app preferences. Theme, "keep screen on" and "show unit names on map" settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.
The app does not request your phone's own location — only fleet vehicles' tracker positions are shown. We don't use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and we don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Account and fleet data is used solely to provide the tracking, alerting and reporting features of the app to you and your organization. Data is associated with the account/organization you belong to and is only visible to users within that account (and, where applicable, its parent dealer account).
Position history, alert events and account data are retained for as long as your account is active, so historical trip reports remain available. You can request deletion of your account and its data by contacting us (see below).
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS).
GeoLocus is a business fleet-management tool and is not directed at or knowingly used by children.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
